Solid Wire Electrode BA-MIG 2209 for MIG/MAG Welding

Classification:
EN ISO 14343-A: G 22 9 3 N L
SFA 5.9 / AWS A5.9: ER2209

Main Application

BA-MIG 2209 is a solid wire electrode for GMAW, suitable for welding duplex stainless steels grades 2205 and 2304. Weld metal exhibits corrosion resistance similar to grade 904L in most applications. BA-MIG 2209 is also suitable to weld grade 2205 or grade 2304 to mild steel.

Suitable fluxes: BF 38SD, WP 380

Flux type suitability is strongly dependent on its application. In combination with the wire electrode the most suitable flux should match the requirements of the plate material as closely as possible under the existing welding conditions. Further information can be obtained from the technical flux data sheets.
